THE CONGRESS: WHAT, WHERE, WHY? The annual congress is a landmark event in our COBATY organization, providing an opportunity to gather around a theme for 3 days.
Having shared the emotions and rich exchanges of other congresses, it was an obvious choice for our association to organize OUR CONGRESS in NANCY.
As the capital of the Duchy of Lorraine, with an architectural complex listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the French people’s favorite monument in 2021, you won’t be disappointed… Around the main resource for our vital needs, for our evolution and our future, for our development and our functioning, for the societal issues that arise from it, and many other aspects besides, we invite you to discuss the theme: “Water, Life, the City”, which will raise a multitude of perspectives and questions by stimulating cross-disciplinary exchanges between all the professions that make up our organization in metropolitan France and far beyond.

Water, Life, the City Looking to the past, examining our present and looking to the future with Water, source of Life, in our Cities of today and tomorrow.
It’s a theme that reveals our past, tells us about our present and should inspire us to think about our future.
Water is the main resource for our vital needs, for our evolution and our future, for our development and our functioning, for the societal issues that arise from it and for many other aspects besides. The theme of water is essential to us and to our societies throughout the world.
Water, Life, the City raises a multitude of perspectives and questions, and stimulates cross-disciplinary exchanges between all the professions that make up our organization.
But far beyond that, Water, Life and the City stimulates all the sociological, economic and political issues of our modern societies.
