128th National Congress of the French Fire departments
From September 21 to 24, 2022, the entire destination was abuzz with excitement to host the 128th National Congress of French Fire Fighters.
This 128th edition of the Meurthe-et-Mosellane event, held over four days at the Parc Expo in Nancy, brought together more than 400 exhibitors, no less than 4,000 delegates, firefighters and civil security personnel, and several tens of thousands of visitors over 30,000 m² of exhibition space.
This exceptional event mobilized the entire DESTINATION NANCY team alongside the organizers, from the application file to the day of the launch:
- reservation of 5800 accommodations through the Convention Bureau since October 2021,
- installation at the Parc Expo in Nancy,
- promotion of the tourist assets with more than 70 programs of visits, animations and excursions opened to all: visits of the city, playful strolls, tastings and greedy visits, sports activities, excursions in the department..,
- night tastings at the Metropolitan Tourist Office
- in a nod to the congress, a Playmobil® ephemeral exhibition on the theme of firefighters, rescuers and caregivers
- implementation of the welcome pact with our hotel partners: personalized welcome at the train station, tarpaulin pots with the event’s colors installed in the city, letters and sweet packets given in the room
